Lyrics by Lee Parent
What’s a poor man to do in a trickle down economy
Where the buck stopped here but you were nowhere near
Cause it’s big banks and companies that are getting bailed out
While you’re facing a future of financial drought
Your savings account is as dry as a bone
Your kids can’t go to college cause you can’t get a loan
Cause you can’t pay the mortgage on your American dream
But maybe things aren’t as bad as they seem.
Hold on to your job and set money aside
For when the stock market takes its big slide
Get a second job for security sake
Whatever they offer`be willing to take
To weather the storm that’s been brewing for years
That you didn’t see coming nor did your peers
Everyone was so happy without any fears
Look out big world cause here come the tears.
People losing their jobs, The whole world in a mess
You wonder if you gonna pass this test
Then you find the pink slip in your pay envelope
And you pray to your God to give you some hope
Then the bank takes your house and your family leaves too
So you’re all alone now, boy.
What you gonna do?
What you gonna do with your insurance gone
and your blood pressure’s up and you’re chilled to the bone
Cause the power is off and you can’t pay the bill
And the dog just lapped up the milk that you spilled
You glasses are broke and you toothache’s begun
And you’re sorry for yourself cause you’re having no fun
To top it all off you got a hole in your shoe
So how about it, boy. What you gonna do?
What you gonna do when you hock your tools
When you just sit around feeling like a fool
When your 401K has gone down the tubes.
And you’re wondering if there’s anything more you can lose
You wanna get drunk but you ain’t got no booze
and your friends are plum tired of you singing the blues.
Come on now, man. Tell me true
What you say man? What you gonna do?
What you gonna do when your moneys‘ all gone
Your wife took the car and you ain’t got no home
Your family done left and you’re totally alone.
What you gonna do?
Yeah there’s hard times ahead for this world it’s true
But this sceneraio don’t have to happen to you
You say technology passed you by
But you got a computer so give it a try.
“You gotta be kidding, I don’t know what to do.”
Well listen up man cause I got news for you
It’s folks on the web that’s gonna make it through
And those Crazy Foxes are here to help you
So think about it man, What you gonna do?
“Crazy Foxes? You think I’m insane?”
So what if you are but you still got a brain
So put it to work before it’s too late
